this is how i’ve spent my nights for many years…just i dont tell anyone about it haha

right now im listening to the 1812 overture composed by tchaicovsky with my friend via out webcams on ichat

i live in california and he lives in NY

ive known him for 19 years

our dads were in the United State Military Academy Band together and every summer the band would play that song at this giant outside concert field and theyd fire off fireworks and cannons

so this song just brings me to a peaceful state of mind and i want to do nothing more than just close my eyes and watch the fireflies fluttering everywhere and the misquittos as dusk settles in and this beautiful song is played as my 7 year old self runs everywhere on this huge hill over looking the hudson river with new york city 50 miles to my right and visible and poughkeepsie ny to my left and visible i wait impatiently for the cannons and fire works

but when they come, my god is it beautiful



and thats probably the happiest i have ever been


that was 15 years ago…i havent been happy like that in 15 years
